Action plans

Optial is designed to support a single repository for Actions and recommendations to ensure that they are recorded comprehensively and that they are dealt with consistently and on time.

Actions can be linked directly to any object within the system, including Loss Events, Risks, Controls, RCSAs, KRIs  Audit Findings, Scenarios or Business continuity Plans.

Multiple actions can be linked to a single object such as an event or risk, or can alternatively be added independently of any such link. Where there are links, these are immediately visible when an action is viewed.

Each action undergoes an individual workflow process based on its assignment to an owner and executor, so that the status is transparently tracked throughout. A person who is assigned to more than one action will see all of them in his/her “To Do” list, regardless of where the actions are linked or their categories; this provides people with a simple and clear way to know what they are responsible for at any time.
 

Reporting on Actions

Optial supports a range of reporting options for Actions, including Loss Events/Actions list, statistics on Actions, Actions list and Overdue Actions list. Also, through OBI, a range of user defined repoerts can be generated to assess the ageing of Actions and various other analytical requirements.
