Organisation Structure

Optial supports complex, multi-level organisation structure hierarchies which form the basis for the reporting hierarchies via a roll-up paradigm as well as access control. 

The Organisation structure within Optial is the framework to which the business data is linked. Optial supports hierarchical organisation structure with an unlimited number of levels in the organisation hierarchy.

The components of the organisation structure can be classified into geographical/business areas or business units, or Corporate/Steering functions resulting in the ability to report horizontally as well as vertically. In addition the Organisation structure within Optial supports an unlimited number of levels in the organisation hierarchy, as well as being able to cater for matrix oriented structures

Optial also recognises that organisations change, and that their structures will have to change within the system. This maintenance is within the user's control and can be managed by a suitable administrator within the system. Organisation units can be added at various levels within the hierarchy as well as moved within the existing structure.  Optial provides a "Bulk Move" operation to facilitate this process.
