Software as a Service (SaaS) is a
deployment option that Optial hosts. We host in a secure data center, where the
Optial system can be accessed by users via a web browser from any computer connected to the Internet.
The web application is offered as a package together with the associated technical infrastructure including the hardware, operating systems, network connectivity and security features. Users simply rent access to the software. Application hosting is the quickest, easiest and most cost-effective method for deploying compliance and risk management solutions.
As well as hosting the more fully configured and customised instances o f the Optial system we are now also able to host the Optial
SmartStart system through our OpRisk on Demand service.

The OpRisk on Demand service is based on the use of Optial’s standard
SmartStart platform which is a pre-configured solution to support businesses wishing to deploy an Operational Risk Management system in limited time with minimal initial investment. The system contains standard roles, workflows, categorisations and functions, along with a large number of list reports, statistics, graphical reports, user defined queries and data analytics.

In order to bed the processes in we would recommend a minimum period of 6 months, showing limited investment to get Operational Risk Management practices up and running for your organisation – all based on industry standard processes and categorisations.
At the end of this period you will be in a position to have demonstrated the value of Operational Risk Management to your organisation and have built up enough experience to mature the processes such that they work best for you.
The flexibility and configurability of the Optial system will enable you to evolve the platform over time, thereby protecting your initial investment. Longer term SaaS options or subsequently taking the software in house will provide you with even lower costs of ownership for an enterprise-wide, functionally rich Operational Risk Management solution.
