London, England, 28 January 2008: Optial, a leading developer of operational risk software solutions, announced today that Jane Tweddle has joined the company as Sales & Marketing Director. The new position, which will report to the CEO, will have overall responsibility for all aspects of sales and marketing, most specifically to increase awareness of Optial’s brand in the global marketplace and support significant growth for the company by driving new sales underpinned by a professional sales function and team.

With more than 25 years of IT experience, Tweddle joins Optial after 4 years as sales & marketing director at iCore Limited during which time she was instrumental in growing revenues for the company by more than 100%, improving the company’s proposition set and creating significant market awareness of the company and its service offerings. Prior to this she spent over 16 years working for the Admiral, CMG and Logica entity now known as LogicaCMG, her career there culminated as MD of financial services in the UK. Tweddle has been involved in the financial services sector for most of her 25 years in IT and has direct experience of regulatory and risk-based systems and working with organisations across Europe and the US.
