Optial Streamlines Internal Control Management for Swedish Bank

Optial has completed another successful software enhancement project for a Swedish bank headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with users in Sweden, the Baltic countries, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The bank has been using Optial to manage their risks, internal controls, quality assessments, personal data breaches, and incidents since 2005. Optial works closely with the client to capture new feature and change requests on an ongoing basis, before working together to review these requests and identify requirements for enhancement releases.
A key focus of this project was enhancing management of their internal controls by moving external processes into Optial. The bank were already using Optial to manage and assess their internal controls, but the approval and exemption processes for internal controls were taking place outside of the system. Moving these processes into Optial allows the bank to use the solution’s automated workflow assignment and notification emails for a more efficient, streamlined process that only requires end users to use one system throughout the process.
The bank team also used the project as an opportunity upgrade to the latest platform version and to add enhancements to the system to reflect changes in their incident and risk management processes, including:
An updated overdue process for incident management
New signatory fields on loss and profit registrations
Updates to user roles and permissions
Formatting updates for reports exported to Excel
